Vegetable Sensitivities

The Meso-Menu consists of two thumbs of GodMade fats, a palm-sized (women), hand-sized (men) serving of clean animal protein, and a large handful of high-fiber, low-glycemic vegetables.

After you complete The Protein Days and add high-fiber vegetables, you may have days when weight loss stalls or you gain weight even though you ate clean Meso-Meals. This is because you may be sensitive to some vegetables.

"Vegetable Sensitivity - Having an inflammatory response after eating a vegetable."

You will know that you have a sensitivity because inflammation is represented by retained water. When you retain water, your weight will stall; if the sensitivity is moderate to severe, you may even gain weight.

Weekly, at least one of my clients discovers she is sensitive to one of the allowed high-fiber, low-glycemic vegetables on the list.

Everyone is different.

For example, one out of a hundred clients may be sensitive to broccoli, while the other ninety-nine lose weight eating broccoli.

The various signs and symptoms we see with vegetable sensitivities, besides weight loss stalls and weight gain, are:

  • Irritability
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Stomach pain
  • Eczema
  • Itchy skin
  • Rashes
  • Acne
  • Fatigue
  • Runny nose
  • Sinusitis
  • Bloating
  • Flatulence
  • Stomach cramps
  • Diarrhea

In the Vegetable Course, I introduced you to six vegetable categories.

  1. Leafy Greens – lettuce, spinach, and kale, to name a few.
  2. Cruciferous – cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and broccoli.
  3. Squash – pumpkin, cucumber and zucchini.
  4. Root – potato, sweet potato, and yams.
  5. Stems – celery and asparagus.
  6. Allium – onion, garlic, and shallots.

I once spent thousands of dollars to test for food sensitivities. The test said I had sensitivities to nine different foods.

"Just because you are sensitive to a food group doesn’t mean you will never be able to eat these vegetables."

In Phase Two of HOPE, we move from The Liver Optimization Protocol to The Gut Optimization Protocol. Once your gut is optimized, you will have fewer sensitivities and maybe none.

After I optimized my gut, I only had two foods I was sensitive to oregano and MSG.

Within my clients, the two most common sensitive food groups are:.

  1. Cruciferous Vegetables
  2. Nightshade Vegetables

And Nightshades are not even categorized by science.

In today’s download, I will break the vegetable categories down and give you an idea of the more troublesome vegetables and why they cause inflammatory responses.
